Ready for a different kind of Motorcycle Shop?

Firefly Moto is a motorcycle shop with a purpose. Rather than being profit-centric, the goal of Firefly is to maintain and grow the local riding community. To balance business income against making a difference in the local community. More than just another business, Firefly Moto is an idea, to make the world a better place, to be that light in the dark for the world around us. To make more competent and well-rounded riders and provide support where there currently isn’t.

Our Projects

  • Oranssi project: studio shed

    1981 Suzuki 450GS - Sweet little 1981 Suzuki GS450 came in DOA. Identified and fixed a few electrical faults and added some terminal covers so the bike isn’t so shocking to work on in the future, along with a new signal relay. Fixed the seat mount bracket, and bled the worst brakes I have ever seen. New handlebars and grips rounded out this project for now

  • Oranssi project: roof expansion

    V Star 650 - Clutch adjustment and replaced speedometer cable

  • Oranssi project: wraparound deck

    GSC Rough House 50 scooter came to me dying under full throttle. Cleaned out the carb and now it’s running good as new, indicated 45mph downhill with a fluffy fella onboard.

  • Oranssi project: passive house

    Streetfighter 848 in today for some new spark plugs. The sound these make is incredible. Bellissimo!

  • Oranssi project: slat roof

    Gorgeous XSR900 came to me for some chain maintenance, lowering link in the rear, an adjustable kickstand, and raising the forks up in the triple trees to match.

  • Z07 came in just after purchase. Ripped out an ill-advised LED under glow kit along with a new chain and sprockets.

  • Repairing the work of other shops. Monster 695 got a new used gas tank to deal with the infamous tank swelling issue. Owner was ready to give up until I found him and offered my services.

  • Rare ex-British Royal Army Harley Davidson MT350 in for an oil change, replace seal, and a new battery.

  • Speed Triple 955i: came in for an all over refresh. Coolant flush that led to finding a broken coolant fitting that was also replaced. New rear brakes and new brake fluid front and rear. Also put new fork oil, and an oil and filter change.

  • Had an absolute blast today, worked on my first ever Husqvarna! It won’t let me tag him but Ian brought in this super cool Svartpilen 401. We worked together and fitted a Coober USA power kit with a new header intake and piggy back ECU. The instructions were beautiful and the bike fired up first shot. Sounds and performs awesome.
